• account: your email address and sign-in details when you create a hoha account (email or google).
• your library: the places you save, the personal lists you make and any trip dates or day assignments you save on a list.
• purchases: membership and city guide purchase metadata (plan, status, renewal date, payment reference). never card numbers.
• service briefs: whatever you send in a custom edit or concierge form: name, email and the answers you type.
• newsletter: the email you leave in a hoha trips form or reading gate. i keep it, and substack gets it too because that's where the newsletter lives.
• spill.: the questions members ask, plus a counter that stops anyone asking a thousand in a row.
• site analytics: when it's on, an anonymous visitor id, a session id, the page, the site you came from, campaign tags and your country, so i can see which pages people actually use. no ip addresses, no browser details.
• technical logs: the usual request and error logs from hosting.

• supabase: accounts, sign-in, the database and site analytics.
• vercel: hosting, and the technical logs that come with it.
• stripe: payments, subscriptions and the billing portal.
• google maps: the map, venue details and every google maps link.
• openai: powers spill. answers; questions aren't stored for training.
• openstreetmap and carto: backup map tiles if google maps doesn't load.
• substack: the newsletter.
• formsubmit: form notifications.

hoha trips never receives or stores your full card details. all card data is handled by stripe. i only see a reference, the amount, the currency and the status of the purchase.

to run your account, unlock what you paid for, answer your brief, send the newsletter you signed up for, keep the site working and meet accounting obligations.

you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, or to stop receiving emails at any time. write to hohatrips@gmail.com and it gets handled. you can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly in substack.
