art basel paris
2026.

the fair at the grand palais, nine free public program venues, the museum shows opening the same week, and a date picker so you only see what's actually on.

the fair is the ticket. the city around it is free.

art basel paris runs at the grand palais from 21 to 25 october 2026: two preview days by invitation, then three public days, 23 to 25 october. around it, the public program puts free commissions in nine places, from the petit palais and avenue winston churchill to the trocadéro and a chapel at the beaux-arts.

below: the three i'd plan a day around, what is actually on for the date you pick, the fair itself, the museum and gallery shows opening that week, and a map at the end.

what's on, by day

pick a day up to 25 october. only things open that day are listed, with that day's hours.

the free public program

nine venues, all free unless noted. most run 20 to 25 october; tracey emin and kennedy yanko stay up longer. official source: art basel public program.

three monumental bronzes, presented by white cube, on the esplanade between the two wings of the palais de chaillot. the body goes from lying down, to kneeling, to seated on a rock with a veiled face.

it is the first project art basel has ever placed on the parvis, and it is the one that runs longest: it stays up until 1 november, so it still works if your trip starts after the fair.

inside the same building, the cité de l'architecture shows kennedy yanko (below).

at the center, a performance arena: texts by penda diouf, zora neale hurston, june jordan, audre lorde, marie ndiaye and zadie smith read live, nadia beugré's prophétique, and angel bat dawid with sistazz of the nitty-gritty. it ends with simone leigh's nearly five-meter bronze sentinel (mami wata).
